Term Dates / School Day

Term dates and timetables for our school.

Details of our term dates and school holidays may be downloaded from the links below. Our term dates differ from those set and published by Northumberland County Council.

School Day

The school office will be open from 8:15 am. to 3:45 pm. Monday to Friday.

Our gates open at 8.40am for all year groups. Our compulsory school hours run from 08:45am to 15:15pm daily, giving us a net weekly total of 32 hours and 30 minutes.

Daily Routine:

St. Mary’s has a ‘Soft Start’ to start the school day. As such, key staff will be outside from the earlier time of 8.40am. All children will enter school via the main entrance from 8.40am onwards. Class teachers will remain in their classrooms and greet the children at the classroom door. This supports a calm start to the school day, ensuring that learning can start promptly from 8.45am when the school day starts.

  • Start of school day 8.45am (Gates open at 8.40am)
  • End of school day 3.15pm.
