This week in science, we investigated changing states of matter, with a particular focus on melting. The children carried out an exciting experiment using ice cubes, which they exposed to different conditions and substances to observe how quickly they melted. Throughout the investigation, they used their observational skills to monitor changes, made accurate predictions and identified the independent variable. The children had lots of fun exploring the effects and discussing their findings, all while developing their understanding of scientific enquiry and fair testing.
