School Surveys

When schools and parents/carers listen to each other and work together, they have a really positive impact on attainment and student well-being. This is why it is so important that schools work in partnership with their parents, from a child’s first days at school right through to when they leave.

National Award Winners

St. Mary’s were honoured with a national award recognising our outstanding commitment to listening to the voice of our pupils in our work to continuously enhance the high-quality education on offer in school.

This prestigious recognition, from the national ‘Schools Surveys’ organisation, reflects St. Mary’s dedication to creating a culture where every voice is valued and every member of the community is given an opportunity to contribute to the school’s ongoing journey of growth.

We are incredibly proud to achieve this award. At the heart of St Mary’s ethos is the belief that genuine school improvement begins with listening – to our pupils, parents, and staff alike. We provide regular opportunities for pupils to share their thoughts, ideas, and experiences. By giving our pupils a genuine say in school life, we empower them to take ownership of their learning and contribute to positive change for everyone.

The award, which comes in the form of a celebratory plaque and certificate, a visible and lasting symbol of St Mary’s dedication to engaging meaningfully with its community. It represents the school’s ongoing pledge to remain a ‘listening school’ for years to come.

St Mary’s wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to all pupils, parents, and staff. This award is for everyone at St Mary’s – every pupil who has shared their ideas, every parent who has offered feedback, and every member of staff who has listened and responded with care and dedication.

Throughout your child’s time at school we will gather the views and opinions of you as parents/carers via a variety of means, using this page to give you an overview of the outcomes from your responses using the ‘You said’-‘We did’ headings.
